Picasso Head Project

The art students of 6th and 7th grade made self portraits of themselves. They chose up to 3 kinds of utensils. Their choices were oil pastels, markers, crayons, colored pencils, and water colors. They had to have 3 different patterns within their background. Their faces were drawn abstract and they were all very colorful. We looked at a Powerpoint on Picasso and looked at some of his artwork including his self portraits. They drew their faces realistically and then drew it abstractly. We are going to put some photos up here of some of the students Picasso Head Project.
