Artventures in Watercolor

The 8th graders have been exploring many watercolor techniques in the last week. 

They studied 8 different types:

Solid Wash
Graded Wash
Wet on Dry
Watercolor Pencil
Wet on Wet
Salt
Crayon Resist
Glue Resist

After exploring these techniques they made Landscape Techniques where they were able to try a different technique on each layer.

We are now moving on to the Wacky Watercolor Project. The students will be using real watercolor paper along with rubber cement to create abstract organic displays.
