Task Party

On December 21st 24 6th-8th grade Hiatt students held a  TASK Party from 11 AM until about 1:00 PM in the Art Room. A TASK Party is an improvisational event invented by Oliver Herring, where people perform tasks written on slips of paper as they interpret. Once finished, they write a new task for others, and draw a new one for themselves.

I thought that the task party was very fun because we met new people and they were very  creative. Some of the tasks were odd, very odd as a matter of fact, others were fun to do . For example I drew one that said make someone
look like Barney so I painted my friend's face purple, it was fun.

The task party was so much fun. There was so many things to do. I don't know how anyone could ever be bored when they can do whatever they wanted to do with just about anything in that room. Some people did find some pretty abstract creations that others made and created something new out of it. I found a butterfly that someone made out of a toilet paper roll and some pipe cleaners.I used it to make a bunny that what supposed to be one of the tasks. There was a giant pair of pants that someone had made out of cardboard. Some people were getting their  faces painted like animals.I got mine done like a Hippo. (: Everyone had a really good time.
